Wedding films, the whole day,end to end.
A small studio, one film at a time.
The Wed Films is a documentary wedding videography studio out of Cairo. We film a handful of weddings a year — never back-to-back — so every film gets the same patience in the room and the same care in the cut.
We watch first, frame second — the room before anyone walks in, the look across a table, the dance the elders eventually join.
Nothing posed, nothing staged, nothing asked for twice. We keep what actually happens and let the rest go.
Slowly, then fast, then slow again — the way the day moves anyway. Based in Cairo. Filming across Egypt and wherever the day takes us.
Six things,answered honestly.
- 01
Do you meet couples before the day?
Always — a short call or coffee a few weeks out. We walk in already knowing the people in the room and the corners of the day you care about most.
- 02
What does “documentary” actually mean here?
We watch and we wait. No script, no shot-list, no “do that again for camera.” Slow when the day is slow. Fast when it isn’t.
- 03
Will you direct us on the day?
Almost never. The look across a table, the laugh on the second drink, the dance the elders eventually join — those don’t survive direction. We move quietly and let the day be the day.
- 04
Can we send reference films we love?
Please do. We won’t try to remake them, but knowing what moves you tells us which corners of your day to keep.
- 05
Do you film outside Cairo?
Often. Egypt mostly — Alexandria, the North Coast, the Red Sea, the desert. Anywhere with a runway, really. Travel is added on top of the package.
- 06
How soon do we see the films?
A short teaser within a week. The full film within four to six. Delivered through a private Google Drive link — yours to keep, yours to share.
